WHEN BOYS HAD THEIR FIRST WET DREAMS

Oftentimes the more prepared by parents especially mother is a dialogue with their daughter about their first period.
How with the boys?
Wet dream is a sign of puberty but oftentimes its just being passed like that. Parents especially father tend to don’t care and hope they will understand it by themselves someday. What happened later is the boys are likely share their first wet dream experience with their friends. Whereas dialogue with boy about wet dream is an important thing of sex education.
In class I ever asked to 9th grade students, “Who among all of you hasn’t experienced a wet dream yet?”.
They went blushed and no one raised their hand. Why I didn’t ask “Who has had a wet dream?” Because i’m sure that they will shy to raise their hand.
Then I ask again, “Who in here that tells wet dream experience to parents especially to father? or maybe to mother?” No one raised their hand, it means not a single student in class that tells or share their wet dream experience with their parents.
“Do you tell your friends about it?”
“Yes…..” they answered so compact with smiling.
“Hmm…. apparently you prefer comparative studies with your friends than share that experience to your father.” I said with smilling and the students laughed.
Since then I always pay attention to my teenager son. Because his father passed away, I want to become the first person who knows from him that he had his wet dream. Until someday, my 13 years old son, I found him washing his clothes and bed linen. I asked him because he never washed his clothes before. He blushed and said that he woke up from sleep and found his pants is wet.

When boys had wet dream that is fair thing, it’s a sign that thir puberty period is begin. Wet dream is an event of sperm discharge when the boys are asleep, usually they had erotic dream that triggers penile erection until ejaculation occurs. Fair if they get shy and shock, but mom can calm them down by giving the following explanation :
1) Explain that wet dream is a fair condition and almost all boys experience it when their puberty period.
2) Explain why wet dream can be happen
3) Straighten the wrong assumptions if boys got the false information about wet dream. You also have to tell them that the liquid which discharge seems white and sticky is different from urine which discharge that wet the bed.

Try to be a parents who open when talk about wet dream whic is an important from sex education. Listen well their story and opinion, then straighten the false assumptions based on your knowledge.
The important thing that we must remember before we talk this case to our children is we must practicing first how do we convey it. Why? So that the communication we will do runs warmly. So they’ll feel comfortable and they can receive the messages that we convey well.
